Chapter 19: You’re Mine

Thanksgiving dinner is made by Denny, and Kellan leaves early, not joining them. Kiera calls her family and reveals that Denny wants her to go to Australia with him for Christmas. Candy takes Kiera up on her suggestion to find Kellan at Pete’s, and he brings her home. On Monday at school Candy is smug. That night, Kiera snaps. When Kellan crudely asks her if after she marries Denny will he still be able to sleep with her, Kiera slaps his face so hard it is heard around the bar. She leaps at him again, but Evan holds her back telling her to calm down. Finally, Jenny grabs both Kellan and Kiera by the hand and takes them to the room in the back.
