Summary

Chapter 16: Rain

Kellan returns around lunch time just long enough to drop Anna off before leaving again. When Kiera doesn’t want to hear about her night with Kellan, or talk about her own night with Denny, Anna asks her if she is okay. She blames tiredness, and Anna smirks. Denny makes lunch and then they take Anna to the airport. She asks Kiera to thank Kellan for her, telling Kiera it was the best night of her life and she wishes she could stay. Kellan still isn’t home and doesn’t show up until he comes into Pete’s the following night, giving her a small nod on the way by. Thinking about Anna’s comments, Kiera all but ignores the band’s table until Kellan finally corners her in the hallway. He says they should talk, and Kiera disagrees angrily...
