Chapter 11: The Rules

After a sound sleep, Kiera goes downstairs. She puts her arms around Kellan and surprised he returns her embrace. They talk about and agree on ground rules. Anna calls and suggests coming up for a visit that weekend, but Kiera resists. She tells her to come for winter break instead but her resistance is suspicious, so she finally relents. They decide on a date three weeks ahead, and teasingly, Anna asks if she can sleep in Kellan's room. Kiera suggests a cold shower, and they hang up laughing. Once off the phone, she explains her reluctance to Kellan, telling him he Is 'man-flavored candy' to her sister which he thinks is amusing. She makes him promise that he won't sleep with her. Things go back to normal between them. Kiera is happy, and she can't keep from smiling. This...
