Chapter 10: Hot and Hotter

Back inside, she tells Denny she isn't feeling well, and he takes her home without question. Waking the next morning, she hears Kellan and Denny laughing. Denny offers her breakfast, and then coffee which she refuses. Denny leaves the room to watch television. Kellan teases her softly, reminding her how compellingly she asked him to stay. He touches her cheek. All of her arguments are momentarily lost, which makes him smile. Even her assertion that she chooses Denny doesn't stop him. Kellan asks her if she still wants things between them kept a secret from Denny, and she tells him she does. She goes upstairs to shower, ignoring Kellan's offer to join her, and then goes to work. Pete's is different during the day, and Kiera is enjoying the experience until Kellan comes in. He comes up...
