Summary

Chapter 3: New Job

The band is amazing, and Denny pulls Kiera onto the dance floor. They play a slower song. Then, after another fast one, Kellan pauses to introduce his new roommates to the crowd and to announce that Kiera will be working at Pete’s starting Monday. As soon as Kellan says goodnight to the crowd, he is surrounded by girls who vie for his attention. Denny and Kiera go home. They don't hear Kellan when he comes home later.

Kiera is surprised to discover Kellan in the kitchen before her the next morning, coffee already made. That night Kellan goes out while Denny prepares for his new internship beginning the next morning and Kiera works to distract him. Morning comes quickly, and she kisses Denny goodbye, Kellan is mimicking her behavior and laughing. He offers to take her to work...
