Summary

In Chapter 14, Bri is afraid to open her eyes as Roscoe flies away. The chain Nyx gave her is the only thing that keeps her from losing her glasses. She keeps her eyes clenched even when Roscoe lands. When Marie helps her down, Bri throws up. Nyx says she chose this method of transportation because it is much faster than driving. Bri struggles to get herself together as the others pack the private plane on the runway. Marie assures Bri that Nyx and Dr. Grant will look after Angie. Nyx orders Marie to promise she will return. They have a heartfelt moment, and both cry. Marie almost kisses Bri, then says Bri needs to brush her teeth after throwing up.
