Summary
In Chapter 3, Circe gives Bri a pocket watch that is really an astrological clock meant to track the 28 days of the moon's cycle in which to complete the quest. The watch features the Colchis family crest, which is the “three faces representing the goddess Hecate” (38). Bri and Persephone discuss an ancient document Bri found that Persephone stole from the Vatican archives. They agree that it actually belongs to the Colchis family. When Circe asks how Bri knew it was once at the Vatican, Bri talks about Angie's friend Dr. Kent who works at the Brooklyn Museum. Circe says she needs to meet Dr. Kent. Circe recounts the events that brought them to this point. The Colchis family is descended from Hecate through Hecate's daughter Medea.
