Saverio

The island of Saverio is the overarching setting of the novel and one of the four sanctuary islands created by Dea to stand against Crollo. Despite this, Saverio is relatively cut off from the other islands with very little information on what is happening outside of their own borders. This does not stop people from trying to flee Saverio as Alessa struggles to bond with a Fonte, but it does keep her from working with other Finestras as Crollo’s demons arrive. Over the years, Saverio has become divided between the privileged and the downtrodden, as those with criminal marks are left out of the city to die, while the rich remain safe behind the walls. Ironically, Saverio becomes a safe haven for refugees from another island whose Finestra failed while Alessa did not.
