Point of View

This Time Tomorrow is told through third person limited narration with a focus on relaying Alice’s thoughts and feelings. This is useful when it comes to establishing the setting. Alice, as a native New Yorker, loves her city and often provides useful insight regarding the histories of the various buildings which feature in the novel.

This narration style remains consistent throughout the novel. This means that the reader is figuring out the mystery behind Alice’s time travel abilities at the same time she is. The absence of Leonard’s insight for the majority of the novel forces Alice to rely on her own intuition to get by.
