Summary

In Chapter 21, Bri has a discussion with her mothers about past romantic relationships and her current relationships with Karter and Marie. Karter picks Bri up for the movie. Thandie urges Bri to take her phone charger and Mace. Bri argues, but she takes the Mace anyway. Karter gives Bri some daisies. She grows them into full plants, revealing that Karter knows about her power. Karter and Bri briefly discuss her past, including that she never shared her powers with her friends. They talk about the movies showing at Rhinebeck, agreeing they like scary movies. Bri is shocked to see that the Rhinebeck theater is in a house. Karter pays for their tickets and snacks.
