Summary
In Chapter 17, Bri and Angie have an honest talk. Bri is worried that being at her biological home will hurt Angie and Thandie. She says, “I didn't come here because I wanted to know more about my birth family. I came here because I knew it could help us out.” Angie says the two are not mutually exclusive. At the end of the conversation, Bri feels better. Bri goes to the hidden room behind the fireplace. The desk has the same crest from the drawing Mrs. Redmond gave her.
