Summary
In Chapter 10, Bri returns to the garden early the next morning and uses the key to unlock the garden gate. A bougainvillea curls around her wrist, leaving a bracelet of flowers behind. When she is inside, the trees resume their places, covering the gate. She is in a courtyard garden filled with herb beds. She finds another gate. She opens the next letter which identifies this as the Poison Garden. The plants inside will kill an ordinary adult but will not kill Bri. According to the letter, Selene did not want this life for Bri, but she is the only one left who can carry on this work. Bri has only a tingling sensation from the deadly plants.
