Summary
In Chapter 13, Nyasha resolves to fetch their maid, Mai Taka. The family is going on an outing to the movies, though Nyasha argues that she should stay behind and work on her workshops. Nyasha and Leon fight over Nyasha’s responsibilities to her family. While Leon argues that she is not devoting enough time to her family, Nyasha yells that she has “trained to be other things besides a female parent” (155). Nyasha finally decides to go with the family to the movies.
