Summary

In Chapter 11, Tomas recognizes from the knocks that Sylvia, indeed, is inside the auditorium. He wishes there was a way to tell her through knocks that he had come back for her. Sylv begins knocking again, this time the rhythm of a lullaby their mother had once sung to them. It is interrupted by a gunshot. Tomas is so frustrated he is about to take a hammer to the lock when Fareed stops him. He reports he has heard sirens coming. Fareed has gotten two of the main doors open. Tomas takes the bolt cutters from Fareed to cut the chains on the auditorium doors.

Claire listens as police units from towns hear Opportunity are called to assist. Helicopters and SWAT teams are also called for. Claire tries to talk to the officer, asking her who contacted the police. When the officer realizes...
