Summary

In Chapter 9, Autumn is surprised that no one points out to Tyler where she is as he calls for her. As Autumn watches, Tyler steps in front of Eve, a girl who once had a crush on Tyler, and her boyfriend Miles. He shoots Miles as Eve screams. He grabs Asha’s sister, Nyah, by her baseball jersey. Autumn knows she should get up and stop what is happening. Nyah begs Tyler not to shoot her.

As Tomas tries to get into the auditorium, he remembers when his grandfather taught him how to pick locks.
