Summary
In Chapter 3, Autumn thinks about how important dancing is to her as Asha ends the conversation and walks away from her. She believes dance is the only thing that holds her together, that everyone will eventually walk away from her. In her hand is a key chain with a Venetian mask given to her by her mother and a silver ballet shoe. As Claire begins to concentrate more on her running, she stops thinking about her problems. She feels like the track team is where she belongs.
