Summary
Margot recounts the first time she got truly angry with Quin. They were at dinner and he was texting a woman, who was asking him what to do about a boyfriend who wanted to see other people. Quin asked Margot what he should tell the woman, and Margot said that the woman should dump the man. Quin said he was going to tell the woman that the famous editor Margot Berland had told her to dump her boyfriend. Margot told Quin not to mention her name, but he sent the text anyway. She had been furious, despite all the times his antics had amused her. His antics had amused many people. He always had dozens of friends coming to all of his parties.
