Magda’s Clothing
While she was on vacation with Yunior, Magda made a point of wearing very provocative clothing that showed off her body. This was her way of saying that she wasn’t interested in him anymore since she was using the outfits to get attention from other men.
Comics
In Nilda, whenever Nilda came over and Yunior’s brother wasn’t there she would sit with him and talk to him about comics. At the time, the comics represented the relationship and friendship that Yunior shared with Nilda.
Virta’s Letters
Ramón keeps all of Virta’s letters, even though he insists that he’s done with the life that he left behind. The fact that he continues to write to her and keeps all the letters shows that he isn’t ready to let go of the family he left behind.
