Hannah tells her listeners how Marcus Cooley figures into her story. He claimed to be one of her matches in Oh My Dollar Valentine, a fundraiser for cheer camp. They agree to meet one another at Rosie’s, but Marcus makes Hannah wait thirty minutes before he shows up. Clay stops to sit on a bench while he listens to the rest of Hannah’s tape. Clay wonders if he had filled out his survey truthfully if he might have gotten Hannah as a match.
