Part III, Chapter 17 Summary

The bomb is set to detonate in 15 minutes. As time ticks down, Sita demands that the general command some of the soldiers to go. She is trying to diminish the amount of lives that are lost from the explosion. Arturo tries to continue to convince Sita to stop the bomb and allow him to create the perfect hybrid.

Finally, Arturo releases a couple units of the soldiers. The general confirms that the bomb cannot be turned off once it is detonated. When the bomb has five minutes left until it explodes, everyone in the room—Arturo, General Havor, Joel and Sita—realize that Sita's skins is transparent. She naturally starts to levitate. She tries to grab Joel to take him with her but her arms slide right through him. She says her goodbyes to Joel and Arturo...
