Part II Chapter 1 Summary
As Alisa walks down the streets of Los Angeles, she asks herself if she is only one of the two vampires left. The news stories of murders in gangland L.A. have her believing that there are other vampires alive there. This is because the news reports that the bodies are completely drained of blood.
As Alisa is walking, three young guys starts harassing her. The leader, Paul, takes away her knife and brandishes his gun at Alisa. She warns him, but he doesn't listen to her. She is just about to kill him and drink his blood when she smells and hears another vampire nearby. She spots an African-American boy and starts to follow him. Alisa still feels pain in her chest where the stake impaled her. The wound has never completely healed, and it's been six weeks...
