Chapter 10 Summary
Ray wakes as the sun is setting. Sita tells him he must leave so that he will remain alive. She can feel Yaksha is on his way. To get Ray to leave, she tells him the truth about his father. He doesn't want to believe her because he says he loves her and she loves him. She says he reminds her of her husband Rama. When Sita hears the sad song of the flute down by the ocean, she sees Yaksha's figure and knows it's too late. Against Ray's protests, Sita goes down to talk to Yaksha alone.
Yaksha admits that he is there to kill her because of the vow he made to Krishna. He promised to kill the evil he created and Krishna would grace him. Yaksha admits that he hasn't killed Sita before because he loves her and it made...
