Honky Tonk
The Honky Tonk is Knox’s bar. Of it, Naomi thinks, “Honky Tonk felt like a country bar that had a brief but satisfying affair with a glitzy speakeasy” (111) Much of the action takes place at the Honky Tonk because it is where Naomi works and where she frequently interacts with Knox. Knox bought the bar to turn it into a better establishment than it was in his youth.
Naomi's Cottage
The cottage that Naomi rents from Liza J is quite pleasing. There is a creek and many trees nearby as is Liza J’s lodge and Knox’s cabin. The living room has a plank floor and a small stone fireplace. Naomi’s bedroom has white painted paneled walls. The house is described as small but cute.
