Summary
Chapter 41 is told from the perspective of Naomi. Knox has been texting her, but she ignores his texts. Stef calls her and gives her a to-do list of items that will make her feel more like herself. Naomi goes into the kitchen of the lodge and realizes just how much has changed through her cleaning and sprucing up of the place. Naomi thinks about how they have not been able to fill the holes left by the death of Liza J’s husband and daughter, but they have brought life back to the place.
Chapter 42 is told from Knox’s perspective. Many people in the town are angry with him for breaking up with Naomi. After the women who work at the Honky Tonk are rude to him, Knox decides to go home, but he sees a party at Liza J’s...
