Summary

Chapter 31 starts with the announcement that Mrs.Felch has moved away, and Waylay has a crush on her new teacher, Mr. Michaels. She has joined the soccer team because he coaches it. Naomi and Waylay made it through their first home visit with the caseworker, and Waylay made it known that she does not like the vegetables that Naomi makes her eat. Meanwhile, Naomi receives a letter from Warner, apologizing and saying that he took his stress out on her, but he also blames her by saying he would not have been so stressed if they had waited to get married like he wanted to.

Naomi is working at the library when a man comes in asking for help with his laptop. He says he does not need a professional, and he says he would be happy to have a kid help...
