Summary
The second individual wants to know “what does the thinking” if the creatures’ brains are also made of meat (2). The first individual does not think the second understands what they are telling them. They accuse the second individual of “refusing to deal with” the truth of what they are relaying (2). They reiterate that although the brains are made of meat, they are in fact doing the thinking.
The second individual exclaims. They cannot believe the first individual is asking them “to believe in thinking meat” (2).
The first individual again insists that the meat is able to think. The meat is conscious. The meat also can love and can dream. They want to know if the second individual is now able to understand what they are saying, or if they should “start all over” from the beginning (2).
