Summary

In Chapter 33, Ellie goes to Noah’s Halloween fundraiser. Tamara takes out her phone and watches a new report about Mila’s murder. Detective Parker says that Mila was found at the Oak Tower Trail with her shoelaces missing, but she was also seen running with a second female runner. They believe there is a copycat killer at work, and Stella seems like the obvious culprit.

In Chapter 34, Stella goes for an early jog and runs into Detective Parker. He asks her where she was on the morning of Mila’s murder again and she says she was at home working out with Ellie, even though Ellie was really with Noah. Detective Parker shows her a photo from Mila’s phone in which Ellie’s frizzy black hair which looks just like Stella’s can be seen from the back in the background...
