Summary

In Chapter 11, Jill tries to sleep but cannot stop thinking about how Adam had texted her after Thanksgiving of freshman year. He invited Jill to hang out with him and Jake, another older Player. They asked her what she was most afraid of, and she said that she was afraid of the dark. She also mentioned that Shaila was afraid of heights, though later Jill felt guilty for revealing Shaila’s fear to the Players. Henry invites her over for a date at his house and the two of them sleep together, though Jill cannot enjoy herself because she is too distracted.

In Chapter 12, Jill and the other seniors go to school on the first day of December preparing to hear back from the first round of college applications. Jill does not hear anything until she gets back home and checks her email...
