Molly moves to Los Angeles, California when she marries her wife, Freddie. Molly loves her home in California, but feels bad because she is so far away from her parents. After Aaron’s death, Joy visits Molly and Freddie for a short while in their Los Angeles home. Joy does not feel comfortable there even though Molly and Freddie do everything they can to make her feel welcome. After the dog Molly and Freddie got for Joy gets attacked by a neighbor’s dog, Joy decides she wants to take the dog and go back to New York where it is safe.
