Summary

“Chastity” follows a man named Benjamin “Benny” Takemitsu. He lives in Minneapolis, works as an architect, and is a friend of Elijah (the doctor who appears in the story “Bravery”). Benny has a slight limp from a time when a mugger struck his knee with a baseball bat. He is currently in a long-distance relationship, but the relationship is failing due to emotional and geographic distance between Benny and his girlfriend. One evening, Benny is taking a walk outside when he sees a woman standing on the edge of a bridge. Benny, thinking she is planning to kill herself, runs up to her and grabs her arm. The woman claims that she is not suicidal and that she is only standing there to give herself a thrill. She steps away from the edge and converses with Benny. She introduces herself as Sarah...
