Theodore Boone
Theodore Boone is the protagonist of the novel. The novel is written in the third person, but the point of view is limited to what Theo knows, so all the reader knows about the trial and the characters is what Theo knows. Theo’s most dominant personality trait is his love of the law. He knows a lot about the law because both of his parents are lawyers, but even moreso, he knows a lot about the law because of his innate curiosity. He knows many of the people who work in the courthouse as well as police officers and other people involved in the judicial system. He is well-respected by these members of the legal community.
