Summary

In Chapter 9, Hawthorne gets a call as he and Anthony walk towards the tube station telling him that Damian has returned to London over a week after the death of his mother. Anthony wants to know where Hawthorne gets his information from and finally discovers that his old boss is his supporter in the force. The conversation returns to Damian, and Anthony discovers that he has a girlfriend, Grace Lovell, and a child. In addition, he has a cocaine habit. He lives in Brick Lane and the duo go there. On the way, they discuss the book’s title. Before they meet Damian, Anthony tells readers what he knows about him from his research. Damian is on his mobile phone when the duo arrives.
