Summary

In Chapter 5, the two men look at the report while sitting outside of a Café. It includes Andrea’s statement. Anthony asks Hawthorne how he knows Meadows and he tells him that he worked with him at times when he was one the force. Hawthorne tries to talk about the current case, but Anthony wants to talk about Hawthorne’s personal life. Hawthorne is vague about what caused him to leave the force. Anthony finds out that he is no longer with his wife and a few other things. Then Anthony’s questions make Hawthorne angry. Anthony thinks of leaving, but stays because of his interest in the case.
