Summary

Arthur wakes up in the middle of the night to the sound of wind and a child’s cry in “Whistle and I’ll Come to You.” He tries not to worry, reminding himself it is only the ghost, not a living child. He gets out of bed with the intention of pouring himself a drink. Out in the hallway, he gets a feeling that someone has just walked past him even though he knows there is no one there. He goes back to his bedroom to grab a lantern. He trips over Spider, smashing the lantern, leaving him exasperated.
