Summary

As 46 appears wearing winter clothes, 13 and 11 joke about how 7 and 14 go to a school with “the most Catholic team name” (the Crusaders) (51). Simultaneous conversation between 8 and 2 reveals that 2 knew 14 was Armenian, and that 2 and 14 used to be best friends. 13 continually interjects. 11 calls her annoying. 46 comments that she has been to Armenia. The others notice her and what she is wearing. 25 tells her to get changed; 46 says the locker room is closed; 11 and 25 suggest she change in the porta-potty, and 46 starts to leave.

Conversation about 46 reveals that she is homeschooled, lives in the nearby hills (in a dwelling that 2 refers to as a “yogurt”), and has to take three buses to get to practice.
