Importance: Thursday notes one of the inconsistencies of her relationship with Seth. Even though she believes that they are legally married, Seth prefers for them to stay in Thursday’s condo so they will not see anyone who might recognize Seth. She does not realize he wants them to stay in so that no one will tell Thursday that Seth is married to another woman.
I feel cast off, abandoned. I am not the one having his baby — she is — and so my needs matter less.
