Importance: Homes are an essential part of a pirate’s life in this universe. A home is a means of attack, as well as a place for safety. A pirate’s home is also where they store their treasures. Homes are also essential in mobility. Without flying homes, a pirate is stranded, and must endure the much slower means of transportations of their day. If in that situation, a pirate may find it preferable to find any building at all rather than suffering a slow train or an even slower horse. That explains why, in her extreme haste, Pleasence later uses an outhouse to make her way to Pucklechurch and retrieve its library for Cecelia.
No men sat at the table, having been left at home to mind the children, guard the treasure, or quite frankly just stay out of the way...
