Summary
Chapter 20- Ned is relieved that Morvath is dead and feels that his mother’s death has finally been avenged. Still he feels sad, as he does not believe in ghosts, meaning his mother is still gone from him. Ned pilots Darlington House back towards the battlefield. After Cecelia sees that her aunt is alive, she tells Ned to turn the house around and land it beyond the woods. She invites him with embarrassment to her bedroom. When he asks why, she says it is because they are going to part soon, and she wants to experience him before that happens. Ned holds her and tells her she can cry, daydreams about their married life until Cecelia stomps on his foot and makes it clear that she wants to have sex with him.
