The Land of Stories
The Land of Stories symbolizes magic and the father of Alex and Conner. This book is the physical method by which the author propels the story forward by utilizing it as a portal between the real world and the fairy tale world. It is a large green covered book that was owned by Alex and Conner's father and grandmother. When the children turn 12, Grandma gives them the book to keep for themselves as they have many fond memories of it and their father.
On the first night of owning it, Alex makes a wish that activates the magic of the book and it glows and hums repeatedly and at awkward times.
