Summary

The Mastermind tells the children that bravery is important for wishes to come true because only the brave can take the actions necessary to make them come true.

In Chapter 26, Lucy thinks about how her grandparents may not have understood her, but they did love her and wanted her with them. She did not get the family she wanted, but she possibly had more than Angie did. Lucy realizes that she understands how to love a child. She is determined to do whatever is necessary to win for Christopher.
