Summary
The Mastermind tells the children that bravery is important for wishes to come true because only the brave can take the actions necessary to make them come true.
In Chapter 26, Lucy thinks about how her grandparents may not have understood her, but they did love her and wanted her with them. She did not get the family she wanted, but she possibly had more than Angie did. Lucy realizes that she understands how to love a child. She is determined to do whatever is necessary to win for Christopher. Jack tells the contestants that they can use their phones to call for help with their last challenge, and he asks them what words appear on a particular page of one of his books. Lucy keeps trying to call Mrs. Bailey to ask her to tell Christopher to find the book...
