Summary

In Chapter 18, when Barb arrived at her office, there were picketers outside the building. Ivan, who was among the picketers, told Barb they heard that the designers of The Point were going back on their promise to include the art space and instead putting in a Whole Foods store. Barb said she had heard nothing about that.

Inside the building, Barb met with Dominic, who was waiting in her office. Dominic confirmed to Barb that he had been approached by Whole Foods and he believed he was going to take their offer. He told Barb that she would not be impacted by the decision because he was the one who would take the financial hit. Whole Foods would pay him five times what the art space would have paid. Barb warned Dominic he was looking at a PR and community relations nightmare.
