Part Two: Chapters 44-47 Summary
George Masters was a life time FBI agent. He had been following LuAnn's case since her disappearance ten years previously. He had been part of the original investigation and remained curious. Matt Riggs' queries about LuAnn caused Masters to think that LuAnn had reemerged. Masters had received reports that a woman matching LuAnn's description had been seen with Romanello, a known assassin for hire, within hours of his death. Those reports added a level of intrigue to her story. Romanello was found in possession of a train ticket departing from Georgia and arriving in New York prior to the lottery drawing.
