Section 13: Chapters 32-37 Summary
In Chapter 32, more bodies appear as the plague mutates quicker than Kanya expected, and as they treat the village pond with lye and chlorine, she recalls how much she hated the white shirts when they did this to her village. When she is summoned, Kanya orders Pai to keep the village quarantined, reminding him that they still must burn the factory. Jaidee teases Kanya for acting like the new Tiger, but he also mocks her for her hypocrisy. Having been taken to Narong, Kanya learns about the Somdet Chaopraya's death and how a windup is involved. Furthermore, Narong tells her that General Pracha has taken charge of the investigation, so Akkarat wants her to investigate on his behalf because he suspects Pracha was involved. Kanya visits Pracha at the blood-soaked tower, and she notes that he seems puzzled but...
