Duke's Citadel

Located in Summersea, Emelan, this is the name of Duke Vedris IV who is Sandry's great uncle. Sandry lives with him and helps him to keep his books in order.

Winding Circle Temple

The temple in Emelan where novices are taught the magic arts. It is where Sandry, Daja, Briar and Tris earned their medallions at the unheard of age of 13. Temple habits include color coding such as red for fire, yellow for air, green for earth, blue for water and white for novice.

Discipline Cottage

The section of housing in which Daja and her brothers and sister lived while they were educated at the Winding Circle Temple.
