Summary

In Chapter 4, Jude has been wishing Taryn would visit and bridge the rift between them, but she discovers she is uncomfortable. She announces that she has been to Jude's rooms twice before, but Jude was not there. This time, she simply waited for Jude's return. Taryn says Vivienne is bringing Oak to Elfhame for Taryn's wedding. Taryn asks Jude to attend the wedding as well. Jude wavers only for a moment before agreeing, wanting the feud with Taryn to end though she is still angry that Locke played with her emotions, as well as Taryn's. Taryn has brought the stuffed animals Jude brought with her from the mortal world. Taryn claims that Madoc misses Jude, who was “always his favorite” (39).
