Summary
Elizabeth, Henry, and the rest of the court travel to Norwich to celebrate Corpus Christi. While they are watching a parade, Elizabeth realizes that Henry is paranoid and terrified for his own life. After the feast, Henry goes on a pilgrimage with one of the Traitor’s (John’s) father. When they return, neither tells Elizabeth what was said.
Meanwhile, an army of Irish soldiers and German mercenaries are rumored to be planning an attack on England in an attempt to take the throne back from Henry. Both are run by various members of the York family, including John de la Pole and Francis Lovell. They claim to have a York heir, though Henry believes the boy is a pretender.
