Summary
Elizabeth and her mother watch in amusement as Lady Margaret plans her son’s progress - an event in which he tours the various towns to try and gain support of the public. One day, Henry surprises Elizabeth by saying he wishes she could join him because she has done it all before. She tells him how her father handled it, including how he would go to the people for taxes instead of parliament so people had control over what they gave him.
Elizabeth says Lady Margaret will only stay Henry for two days as no one else could handle her own obsessive rules. Henry writes to Elizabeth once a week about his progress.
