Summary

Chapter 22 begins with Corey back in court. There, Leonard taunts him. Corey visits Adrian at MIT one day. Adrian tells Corey he has a new friend who takes him to strip clubs; Corey suspects this is his father, Leonard, but Adrian does not admit this. Later, Corey visits Molly and describes Adrian, saying, “He’s smart, he’s strong, he’s basically everything I want to be – and he hates his mother” (283). Chapter 23 begins with Tom taking Corey to one of his construction sites. Tom is in awe of the order that exists there. When Tom drops Corey back off home, Joan is there; they flirt. Corey goes back to court and is told the charges against him will settle with little consequence if he stays out of trouble through the summer. Meanwhile, Leonard takes Adrian to a strip...
