Chapter Fourteen Summary

Reeve talks to his mother on Monday morning. She is excited that the whole family will be getting together for the holiday. It will be the first time that they are meeting his brother Todd's fiancee, Heather. Both of his sisters will also be there, making it impossible for Reeve to talk his way out of coming home for the weekend, although he does try. He tells his mother that he had been invited to spend the holidays with friends in New Hampshire, but it doesn't work. His experience with Vinnie at WSCK doesn't go much better. Vinnie doesn't seem to be aware of the missing tapes yet, and when Reeve asks him for a private chat, he refuses.
