Chapter Nine Summary
Reeve looks around, but no one is paying any attention to him. For a moment, he can't speak at all. The voice tells him that she needs to know one thing, like so many before her have, and Reeve disconnects without a word. He spends the next few minutes convincing himself that the caller could not possibly have been 'the' Hannah. When the phone rings again, he wonders if he should answer at all. He wonders if someone is playing a joke on him, but no one in the station is looking his way. It doesn't seem likely. He picks up the phone, relieved to hear an ordinary caller.
